IN THE NEXT ROOM or THE VIBRATOR PLAY

This is one of Mrs. Daltry's looks for IN THE NEXT ROOM or THE VIBRATOR PLAY. We decided to use both the right and wrong side of the jacket fabric to achieve the contrast from front to side front pieces. The original ground of the fabric was off white but I dyed it green. The skirt and over skirt are made from many many yards of taffeta.

EURYDICE Distressing

For EURYDICE our designer found some fantastic old garments from stock that were modified for Little Stone's costume. To achieve this look, I used a serious amount of fabric dye to distress the garments and added some lace to the overdress and the underdress.

ROUGH MAGIC Drag Queens

The tulle Drag Queens dresses were built to hide armor worn underneath. On stage the Drag Queens transform into sword wielding Furries! The yards and yards of tulle covered the armor until the big reveal.

ROUGH MAGIC: Lizard

The lizard claws for the hands and feet were carved from blue foam, coated with Magic Smooth, inserted into dyed stretch net gloves and then painted. The mask was also dyed stretch net with some soft foam inserts for shape and then painted with fabric paints.

THE VIOLET HOUR

Budget challenges required us to purchase fabric for this dress at no more than $10 per yard. Lucky for us we found the right fabric and styled the dress with accessories that gave it a sumptuous look for this production of THE VIOLET HOUR, set in 1919.

TROJAN WOMEN

Hecuba's dress for TROJAN WOMEN, a modern, silk adaptation inspired by classic Greek costume. I draped the dress in half-scale first to determine the placement of the folds and estimate the yardage.

Poseidon's Headdress was constructed out of Foss Shape molded over two styrofoam wig heads. Acrylic paint, wig, seashells and beads were used to complete the look.
