MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING

We used donated Eileen Fisher tops and skirts, I dyed them candy colors as per the designer's renderings, and added vintage trims. The result - pretty costumes reminiscent of the 1920s!

WHEN WE WAKE UP DEAD: Knife Rig

After removing the blade, I used steel boning, flexible boning and Magic Smooth, a sculptural medium, that works like an epoxy and is a great adhesive.

SHE KILLS MONSTERS: Rod Puppets

My budget was next to nothing for this production so I designed and built the puppets around found materials: plastic garbage bags, burlap and glue, scrap wood, and left over scenic paint.

PICNIC: Floral 1950's Dress

Cotton 1950's "picnic" dress with hand painted red and blue flowers.

BIG LOVE: Wedding Dress

Cowl back and cross front bodice with an enormous circle skirt, this dress was made as a wrap dress for easy on-stage dressing and undressing.

BENGAL TIGER: Robo Hand

Using an air-soft glove, silver paint and thread, we made a cheap and effective "robotic" hand. In the end this version was cut in favor of a sleeker design but still a valid option depending on the size of your house.
